Born in 2020 in the Federal District, the Association of Producers and Promoters of Non-Conventional Food Plants (ASPANC) emerged as the first Brazilian entity exclusively dedicated to transforming food systems through the vast potential of PANC (Non-Conventional Food Plants). Bringing together a diverse network of producers, seed guardians, consumers, technicians, and researchers, ASPANC seeks to rescue food culture, promote agrobiodiversity, and strengthen food security. The challenge was to create a digital presence that centralized vital information about PANC and the association, effectively connecting the diverse links of the production chain – from seed access to commercialization and consumption. Furthermore, it was crucial to engage a wider audience, demonstrating the nutritional, environmental, and socioeconomic value of PANC and positioning ASPANC as the national reference point in this growing movement.
To support ASPANC's mission and expand its national reach, a strategic approach was implemented to develop its digital identity and presence. A new website was created to serve as the association's central hub, clearly communicating its mission, vision, and values, and highlighting the importance of PANC.
The platform was designed to educate the public about the benefits of PANC, showcase the "large family" of the ASPANC network (producers, chefs, markets, etc.), and facilitate access to derived products – from seedlings and fresh produce to processed goods and cosmetics. The site aims to strengthen the entire production chain, offering a virtual meeting point for those looking for products or wishing to become an associate, thereby driving the PANC revolution and cultivating a more sustainable and diverse food future for Brazil.
