The judicial filing team faced a fragmented and slow workflow, relying on a combination of a legacy system and a manually updated Excel spreadsheet. Because critical information was decentralized across these mismatched tools, users struggled to find the data they needed to complete tasks efficiently. The core challenge lay in the sheer volume of actions required to process a single filing, which significantly increased operational friction and the potential for errors.
To address this, I conducted three intensive rounds of user research during the discovery phase to deeply understand specific needs and refine the requirements. I designed a dense administrative dashboard within Figma that centralizes all essential information into a single intuitive interface. Managing this volume of complex data required balancing clarity with screen real estate, which I achieved by combining clean typography with contextual icon tooltips that reveal label explanations on hover. The final project was approved with great praise from both the PO and the platform users, successfully transforming a disorganized process into a streamlined user centered experience.
