The Cerrado is one of the most biodiverse ecosystems in the world, yet it faces increasing threats from deforestation, wildfires, and unsustainable land use. The Instituto Cerrados, committed to protecting 1 million hectares by 2050, needed an effective way to engage the public and collect real-time environmental data to support conservation efforts. To achieve this, the organization required a digital platform that would empower local communities, researchers, and environmentalists to actively participate in the monitoring and protection of the Cerrado. The solution had to be user-friendly, data-driven, and capable of providing valuable insights for decision-making.
To address this need, a dashboard was developed to provide administrators with a clear and actionable overview of conservation data. The platform consolidates key insights, such as the number of protected territories registered, real-time detection of heat sources, total users engaged in monitoring efforts, and the actions implemented to mitigate environmental risks. By transforming raw data into an intuitive and accessible interface, the dashboard enhances decision-making and optimizes response strategies. This tool ensures that conservationists can act more efficiently, track progress over time, and strengthen initiatives aimed at safeguarding the Cerrado’s future.
