Cepel needed to promote its Near Zero Energy Building (NZEB) concept at conferences across Brazil, but the physical house wasn't finished yet. There was no building to show, only renderings and a concept that needed to feel real to an audience that couldn't walk through it.
Looking at early project photos, I saw the actual problem: this wasn't a "make a website" brief, it was a "make people feel the building before it exists" problem. A standard institutional site with static renders wouldn't communicate the experience of the space. I proposed an interactive virtual tour instead, treating the site itself as a stand-in for the physical visit.
I prototyped the full experience in Figma before touching code, then built the site in WordPress with a dedicated virtual tour plugin, which required extensive front-end and back-end customization to match the interaction model I'd designed rather than the plugin's defaults. I owned the project end to end: concept, design, and implementation, with no handoff to a separate developer.
The site gave Cepel a way to present the NZEB concept at conferences before construction was complete, turning an unfinished building into something audiences could explore. I no longer have access to the live site and some content has changed since handoff, so I'm relying on archived screens rather than the live URL for this case.
Tools: Figma, WordPress, virtual tour plugin (custom-configured), front-end and back-end customization
