OVERVIEW.

Abrace supports families of children with cancer and hematological conditions. When I joined as lead developer and product designer, their digital presence was fragile: at risk of downtime, disconnected from their CRM and donation systems, and not built to last.

The real risk wasn't visual, it was operational. Migrating hosting while preserving every donor record and recurring subscription without interruption was the hard constraint. Get that wrong, and real donors lose access to giving, mid-relationship with the organization.

THE SOLUTION.

I led the project end to end: architecture planning, a custom design system built for consistency and scalability, and a WordPress rebuild integrated with Cielo for donations and RD Station for CRM. I set up Google Analytics and Search Console tracking so I could monitor real performance after launch, not just at delivery, and used AI tools strategically to diagnose ongoing issues and guide monthly optimization.

Monthly active users grew 47% since launch, migrated with zero downtime and full preservation of donor history. The client continues to praise the site's reliability well after handoff, which matters more to me than the launch-day reaction.
